The big Willows standing high
dressed with their lacy leaves,
like ladies in waiting,
going to a ball.
Draping branches are suspended
as a light wind blowing through
Moves the trees to nature's dances
in step with every symphony.
Such beauty and majesty
in all their flowing limbs
Birds have nestled in their hair
to call the trees their home.
Oh graceful willows in full skirts
your shade protects the ground
where you stand tall, and simple
and yet you are profound.
