Thank you Lord, for the morning
That time when life awakens.
Each created being is invited
To a new day waiting.
Nearby a mourning dove coos,
as one in the distance answers.
They're calling each other
to spread some news.
Dawn light breaks the darkness
as the routine begins day's parade.
Tree leaves wave together
to the music of cool wind dances.
Dense clouds hover on the water
Lake waves are silent and calm,
fresh air greets the rainless environs
Few creatures are stirring around.
God brought forth His creation,
With eternal planning in view,
Thankyou Lord, for the morning,
Our Father is at Home.
